Mava Modak

Mava modak a sweet treat for our Ganpati Bappa!! Ganpati Festival is incomplete without modak's. May it be Ukdiche Modak, Talele (Fried) Modak or Mava Modak. Loved and cherished by our Bappa and ourselves :) 

A quick, simple & delicious modaks for you all lovely people, May Ganpati Bappa always shower his blessing on you all. 

Ganpati Bappa Morya!!!

  • 1/2 kg Mava / Khava
  • 1 1/2 bowl Powdered Sugar 
  • 1/4th tsp Yellow Food Colour
  • 1/2 tsp Cardamon Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Jaifal (Nutmeg) Powder 
  • In a pan roast Mava on a low flame till it slightly changes the colour
  • Then add powdered sugar and mix well. Keep on cooking this mixture.
  • When the mixture becomes little liquidy add yellow food colour, cardamon powder & nutmeg powder. Mix well and make sure all the ingredients are well incorporated in the mava. Keep on stirring this mixture continuously.
  • Cook this mava mixture till it becomes thick to a dough like consistency.
  • Transfer the modak mixture onto a plate to cool down.
  • Once the modak mixture cools down, make small balls and fill them into modak mould.
  • Mava modak's are ready.
